🛡️ Safe and Responsible Gaming

Responsible Gaming — when fun stays in control

98db believes that gaming should be a source of enjoyment, not stress. Our responsible gaming tools and guidelines are here to help you stay safe and happy at all times.

21+

For ages 21 and above only

You must be at least 21 years old to play at 98db. We use strict age verification to protect minors from gaming. Identity and age verification at registration is mandatory. If you know someone who is underage and attempting to play, please inform our support team.

What is responsible gaming and why does it matter?

Responsible gaming means enjoying gaming as a controlled form of entertainment — never at the cost of money or time you need for life's essentials. At 98db we believe every player has the right to know their own limits and the opportunity to stay within them.

Online gaming is now a popular form of entertainment for millions of people in Bangladesh. However, in some cases uncontrolled gaming can cause personal, family, and financial harm. That is why 98db provides multiple responsible gaming tools — so you always stay safe even while having fun.

The core principles of responsible gaming are: gaming is always optional and for entertainment. You should never play to try to recover money you have lost. You should never spend more than you can afford. If you feel that gaming is having a negative impact on your life, seek help right away.

Our Safety Tools

98db provides these tools to keep players safe.

Deposit Limits

You can set a maximum daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limit whenever you choose. Once set, a limit takes effect immediately. To increase a limit, a 24-hour waiting period applies, but reducing a limit takes effect immediately.

Financial Protection

Session Time Limits

To avoid uninterrupted gaming, you can set a time limit for each session. Once the set time is up, an automatic alert will appear. This feature helps you stay aware of how long you have been playing.

Time Management

Time-Out Break

If you feel you need a short rest, you can take a time-out break ranging from 24 hours to 30 days. During this time, no deposits or bets can be made on your account.

Temporary Break

Self-Exclusion

If you are experiencing long-term problems, you can apply for self-exclusion. Your account can be closed for 6 months, 1 year, or permanently. Attempting to open a new account during self-exclusion is not permitted.

Long-Term Protection

Bet and Loss Limits

Beyond deposits, you can also set a limit on the maximum amount you bet or the maximum loss you are willing to accept within a given period. Once the limit is reached, the game will stop automatically.

If you notice any of the following signs in yourself or someone close to you, it is safe to assume that gaming is becoming a problem. Seeking help in this situation is not a sign of weakness — it is a sign of courage.

Awareness is the first step in responsible gaming. Ask yourself — is gaming making your life better, or more complicated?

Helpful tips for healthy gaming

Set a budget in advance

Before you start playing, decide the maximum amount you are willing to spend. Once that budget is used up, end the session — regardless of whether you are winning or losing.

Take regular breaks

Take at least a 15-minute break every hour. Get up, walk around, drink some water — give your mind a rest.

Do not play on impulse

Avoid gaming when you are angry, sad, or under stress. It becomes harder to make good decisions in that state.

Do not treat gaming as a source of income

Online gaming is for entertainment. Do not rely on gaming as a regular source of income.

Make time for family and friends

Gaming should never take priority over relationships. Spending time with family and friends is important.

Do not hesitate to ask for help

If you recognise a problem, let our support team know. We will help you in complete confidence, without judgement.
